The project

Hacobian Financials is an in-house project, not client work: a private household-finance web app built by Media City Design. It brings one household's monthly tracking, budget, debts and subscriptions into one place, with an AI advisor for questions.

How it’s built

The whole app is a single React 18 file with no build step, hosted on Netlify. Supabase stores and syncs the data, and the AI Advisor calls Anthropic's Claude API.

Dashboard, monthly tracker, budget, insights, month history, debt tracker, subscriptions and an AI advisor.

New Month Wizard

A guided step for starting each new month in the tracker.

Shared, synced data

Data syncs through Supabase, so the household sees the same numbers in any browser.

AI Advisor

A chat that sends the household’s questions to Anthropic’s Claude API.

Built for phones

A bottom navigation bar on small screens, safe-area spacing for iPhone, and support for adding the app to the home screen.

Adjustable text size

Small, medium and large text settings in the sidebar.
