The client

Queen of the Nile is a Burbank beauty salon on Riverside Drive, led by owner Kasie Weinandt. It specializes in natural hair, curls and textures, offers skincare, brow and makeup services, and provides on-location hair and makeup for film and TV productions and hotels.

Project scope

Website design, plus training so the salon can run the site day to day.

The site footer reads “Made by Media City Design LLC” and links to our site.

What the site does today.

Service menu with booking

Services grouped into tabs (shaping, texture, color, skincare, TV & film, bridal and occasion), each with a price, a duration and a “Book Now” button that opens online booking.

Product shop

An online store of the salon’s recommended hair and skin products and membership packages, with filters for product type, price, color and size, and a cart.

Gift cards

Gift cards in preset amounts or a custom amount, bought online.

Film, TV and hotel services

A section for on-location hair and makeup for productions, hotels and executives, with partner and booking calls to action.

Team and booth rentals

An about page with the owner’s welcome and team bios, and booth-rental and retainer options for independent beauty professionals.

Contact, hours and members

Hours, the Riverside Drive address, a contact form, a newsletter signup and a member log-in.
